About Angela
Calm, Clear, Practical and Kind
I'm Angela and I work with dog owners who are feeling overwhelmed by their dog's behaviour - whether that is jumping up, pulling on the lead, barking at the front door, not listening or simply finding it difficult to manage day to day.
My approach is very different to traditional dog training.
I don't rely heavily on treats or constant commands. Instead, I focus on helping dogs feel calm, safe and clear about what is expected of them.
When a dog understands that their owner can guide them and keep things under control their behaviour naturally begins to change.

Over almost ten years of training owners and their dogs, I have found that most behavioural issues are not about a lack of training - they come from a lack of clear leadership.
​
Most dog problems are not training problems - they're leadership problems.
This does not mean being dominant or forceful or aggressive. It means providing calm, consistent direction so that your dog doesn't feel like they have to take on that leadership role themselves.
​
When this clarity is in place the change happens very quickly. Dogs become more responsive, more focused and more relaxed and much easier to live with.
Owners often find that what once felt complicated becomes surprisingly simple.

MY DOG TRAINING JOURNEY
My journey into dog training began when I found myself with a particularly difficult dog of my own—my spoodle, Georgie.
​
After trying conventional obedience-based training methods without much success, I quickly realised that approach was not addressing the real cause of the behaviour.
​
Having previously trained horses and developed a deep interest in understanding animal psychology and behaviour, I began applying many of the same principles I had used successfully with horses to my work with dogs.
​
The results were immediate and extremely effective, and over time this evolved into the calm, practical and leadership-based training system I use today.
​
